Meet THE Megan Siepka (Crowe), our AMAZING reading coach here at Chimborazo!

Megan Siepka is currently in her tenth year in education and her seventh year serving as a literacy coach at Chimborazo Elementary School. Her initial passion for foundational literacy skills has remained strong, and she has also developed specific interests in vocabulary development, writing, and deep comprehension. She is committed to sharing these interests through a range of initiatives at the school, district, and state levels, including serving as a TRIP Fellow through William & Mary, where she examines research to provide teachers with best practices in the classroom, and mentoring a Ruth Harris scholar in implementing Orton-Gillingham practices. As a literacy coach, Megan's role is to empower and support teachers in developing their practice by actively listening, providing feedback, modeling strategies, and offering continuous support. Her dedication to professional development and promoting effective instructional strategies has significantly contributed to academic success at her school. Megan is committed to fostering a culture of continuous growth, ensuring that all students receive high-quality literacy instruction that helps them thrive. She earned both her undergraduate degree and her M.Ed. in Reading, Literacy, and Learning from Longwood University—Go Lancers!
